Financial Planner

As a financial planner, Ryan helps his clients make and execute great financial decisions. He provides personalized advice through the development and implementation of strategic financial plans that align with his clients’ goals and objectives.

Hi, I’m Ryan, and I’m a Financial Planner at The Next Level Planning Group.

My grandmother once gifted me a book with 50 $1 bills taped throughout the pages. Her rule was simple: I had to read the book to keep the money (she even quizzed me to make sure I earned every dollar!). That lesson about the value of effort has stayed with me ever since.

Years later, I saved my own money to buy my dad a birthday present. When he realized I’d done it on my own, his reaction showed me something just as important: Money isn’t meant to be hoarded. It’s meant to be shared and used intentionally for what matters most.

Those early experiences shaped why I chose this profession. I earned my degree in Economics from Carleton College and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ because I enjoy helping people make sense of complex decisions and finding practical ways to live meaningful, authentic lives.

Some clients come to me because they want to move their financial position from good to great. Others don’t have the time or desire to manage everything on their own. Many are navigating meaningful transitions—growing families, college planning, career changes, or preparing for retirement—and want confidence that they’re ready. Through honest conversations and comprehensive planning, we move from scattered financial pieces to a coordinated strategy that works together.

One of the most meaningful days of my career was telling a client they could retire if they wanted to. Within days, they’d submitted their two-week notice. Helping someone step confidently into the life they’ve worked toward is what drives me every day.

I’m originally from the Twin Cities and spent six years in Chicago before moving to Fargo, North Dakota, to be closer to family. Outside of work, you’ll find me with my pit bull, on the golf course, fishing, reading, playing basketball, or spending time with the people who matter most.

If you’re approaching a meaningful transition and want a partner who brings the same grit to your financial planning that you bring to your life, I’d welcome the conversation.
