Adam Stock is the founder of The Next Level Planning Group, a family wealth management firm based in Chicago.
I founded The Next Level Planning Group because I’m an entrepreneur at heart. I love the challenge and creativity of building a business that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Since founding the firm in 1999, I continue to be passionate about helping business-owner clients find strategic partners, accelerate growth, and align their financial success with a greater purpose. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with an MS in personal financial planning, I’m continually guided by three core passions: growth, impact, and mentorship. My Vistage membership since 2008 has deepened each of these values.
I believe that money can either create division or become a powerful force for good. Through thoughtful financial planning, I help clients move from scattered accounts to a cohesive plan, while encouraging couples to have courageous conversations that strengthen both their finances and their relationships. Beyond “above the line” strategies like tax savings and investments, I explore financial histories, introduce fresh ideas, and show clients how their money can help them do more for their families and communities.
What fulfills me most are the deep, lasting relationships I’ve built over the years. Clients trust me with the most personal parts of their lives, and I’m honored to walk beside them, offering perspective, strategy, and encouragement that makes life easier, more joyful, and more meaningful.
Outside of work, I live in Evanston with my wife, Melinda, and our five children. I serve as Treasurer of our synagogue and am on the board at Chiaravalle Montessori School. On a perfect weekend, I’m spending one-on-one time with my wife and each of my kids, creating moments that bring them joy (and always finding time to play a game of basketball).
Adam’s life and work is best captured in
The Next Level Planning Group’s motto:
“Educate, Empower, and Enrich”
